About Woodland Veterinary Clinic, Ltd

Woodland Veterinary Clinic opened its doors December 1, 1993 as the first, most well-equipped veterinary clinic to be built in Wisconsin Rapids in 30 years specific to small animal preventative health care and complete medical, surgical and dental services. In 1996 the clinic was incorporated and the name was changed to Woodland Veterinary Clinic, Ltd.

Headed by Dr. Dave Wickersham, the staff of Woodland Veterinary Clinic, Ltd. takes pride in providing knowledgeable, comfortable, and compassionate service. We consider this clinic to be the veterinary leader in this community and constantly strive to provide our clients and patients with the best possible veterinary care available. Our motto “Where excellent health care and responsible pet ownership go hand-in-hand” evolved when it was decided we did not have to have every pet owner as a client, just those who understood their responsibilities.

The clinic was designed by Dr. Wickersham and his wife, Joanne with great attention to detail and suggestions from Veterinary Economics publications and the American Animal Hospital Association Hospital Design book. Staff efficiency, reduced pet anxiety, client convenience and comfort, odor and noise control, orderly traffic patterns and visibility for staff and clients throughout the clinic were all major considerations in creating a relaxed atmosphere for pets and their owners. The clinic was built by Adlee Construction, a company from Nekoosa known for their quality materials, excellent workmanship, and timely home construction. In 1994, Veterinary Economics acknowledged our clinic design with a ‘Letter of Recognition’.

We look forward to continuing the tradition of providing excellent veterinary care while operating the clinic on the sound business practice that ensures our success.
